Blast from 1999: Superstar

Me & my friends would always quote lines from this movie. So funny!

No rest for the weekend!!

Hey y'all!

It's been a few days since I blogged...sorry bout that. I have been helping my mother move from New Albany to Tupelo. Even though it was alot of work, I had a great time. We actually got everything moved in a day...thanks to my family & the UHaul that Moma rented. She had some heavy shit. My lord, one of her pieces of furniture took all of us to move...I don't know why in the hell she would get something that heavy, but it's a very pretty piece of furniture. I just hope that she's happy there and I wish her and Tommy well as they venture in to a new life.

Other than that, I got a new puppy this weekend. Actually, it was my mother's dog, but she cannot take it to her new house. It's a miniature chihuahua. She's so sweet. Saturday night, after we had all had an adult beverage, I laid down on the sofa and dozed off asleep, but quickly awoken to a little wimper. She wanted to be up on the couch with me. I picked her up and she proceeded to get under the covers & slept on my chest all night. It was so sweet. I wish someone had taken a picture. I will try and get pictures of Daisy to put on here.

Well, this is going to be a busy week for me. We've got some Vice-presidents & directors from the ADS corporate coming in today & tomorrow for meetings, so I've got to stay busy the whole time. I hope it goes by fast because when they are here, It's always something going on. Well, hope you have an AWESOME week.

Later,

Blast from 1999 - Cher

I heart Cher!! I hope that she does another tour because I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see her in concert again. This song was a memoriable part of my senior year experience. They played it at Prom & me & my friend Daniel would listen to it when we were out with friends in Ripley. I actually remember Entertainment Tonight done an interview with Cher when they were making this video. Time flies, doesn't it?!?

Just another Thursday - What's goin' on, Idol, more

Hey there!

I'm so sleepy this morning! Thank goodness I get to sleep a little later in the morning & not get up at 4 o' clock in the morning. I get up in the morning like that because my daddy, brother, & myself carpool to work every morning and since they work on the line...they have to get here at the butt crack of dawn. It gets tiring, but we're saving the enviorment & saving money at the same time.

Tomorrow night, I am going to my mother's house to spend the night. My sister, brother -in-law, & myself we're going to help her move to Plantersville. Tommy & Moma has bought a house there and decided to get as far away from Ripley as they can. I just want her to be happy & I support whatever she wants to do.

American Idol last night was so much better than last week. I thought Adam had the best performance of the night, followed by Allison, Matt, Kris, Danny, Anoop, Lil, Scott, Michael, & Megan. I really hope Adam does good and wins the whole damn thing.

Well, that's about it for today. Blah!

Hope you have a good Thursday,

Johnathon

Blast from 1999 - Drop Dead Gorgeous

I love this movie. I remember going to watch this my senior year in high school with all my buds.

What a rainy morning!

It's a rainy morning here in Mississippi. Just learned that they have issued a Flash Flood watch for my area because we're supposed to get 7.5 inches of rain! Man, if that does happen alot of our creeks & small rivers are going to flood. I just hope everyone is alright..remember don't drive through standing water..it may be deeper than you think.

I didn't watch the Presidential press conference last night because I was on the phone with my best friend from high school getting the menu ready for our class reunion. (More on that in a few moments) I support our President to the fullest and I feel like he's doing a good job for what he has inherited. My co-workers at work are calling him the "worst President in American History." I don't think they are giving him a fair chance. He's only been in office for three months and no one..no matter who you are cannot get alot done when you start a new job. He's trying to help America & I think that we need to have some patience. I am encouraged that the recession is going to be ending in 2009. As we have seen in the past two weeks, the Dow Jones has been up almost every day. One day is up almost 500 points. I'm no financial wizard, but I'm being optimistic.

As for my class reunion, we have confirmed our caterer. Nichols' catering out of New Albany, MS. When compilling my catering list for our planning meeting, I had completely forgotten about them. I'm so thankful that Heather suggested that because Nichols' used to cater the salesman/corporate lunches at BenchCraft and they were so good. We have decided on pork tenderloin and/or fried chicken breast, hashbrown casserole and green beans, a garden salad & pretzel salad, rolls, tea, & a choice of lemon crunch or 5-layer chocolate delight. I'm so excited. Believe it or not, it isn't that expensive either. It will be $10.00 per person. I'm was surprised that the price was as low as it was.

I'm getting new ideas everyday about our invitations & decorations. I have decided that with the invitations, I'm going to also include a RSVP card & the questionnaire. With the decorations, if I cannot get our senior pictures blown up, I'm going to make several balloon columns & arches, but I'm thinking that I may do it anyway, if I get our pictures blown up. It's really neat.

Well, that's all I have for today. Have a good hump day!

Take care & be safe,

Johnathon
